A 2012 Dodge Avenger and a 2006 Chrysler 300 were involved in a two vehicle collision at the intersection of 519 East Broadway on Friday, June 16. Both drivers and passengers were looked at by EMT but refused to be taken to the hospital. No injuries were reported.

Read moreTexas Workforce Commission released the unemployment figures for June and it shows the unemployment rate fell to 6.5 percent in the state but in Terry County, the rate increased. Last month, Terry County had an unemployment rate of 6.4, but according to Workforce Solutions South Plains and Texas Labor Market Information, the county’s unemployment increased to 7.4 percent. Texas Labor Market Information data shows Terry’s employment is 4,338; a civilian labor force of 4,684; and 346 unemployed.
