SEMINOLE – The Brownfield Lady Cubs defeated Shallowater 9-4 in five innings for an ugly win were they struggled to close the game. Kenley Salas had three RBIs and stole home in the win. Brianne Franco threw all five innings giving up four runs including a three run homer in the top of the fifth. She had three strikeouts and two walks. Head Coach Loren Phelps spoke on her team’s performance.

The Cubs trailed 2-0 after the second inning and kept the game close until the seventh inning when Lubbock Christian scored seven runs including a grand slam.
