Richard Thomas Bingham, age 70, passed from this life on Monday, April 21, 2025. He was born on November 6, 1954, in Lamesa, Texas, to R.T.

Bingham and Billie Jean (Neill) Bingham.

Richard graduated from Lamesa High School and went on to earn a Double Master’s Degree from Wayland Baptist College in Lubbock, Texas. He began his career with Amaco, an oil company, before working for the Texas Railroad Commission. He later retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Benbrook Lake in Benbrook, Texas, where he served as an Environmental Management Specialist.

Richard was a devoted husband and father, known for his strong work ethic and deep love for his family. He found peace in nature-riding his tractor, planting wildflowers, and simply being outdoors.

He also had a passion for history and enjoyed creating intricate dioramas with miniatures.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra J.

Bingham of Weatherford, Texas; two sons, Matt Bingham and Sean Bingham and wife, Jenny Shen; two stepdaughters, Malinda Helton and Andrea Guerrero and husband, Ozzy; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many other loving family members.

Richard will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A funeral ceremony took place at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2025, also at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at East Greenwood Cemetery.
