NRCS helps to protect natural resources on private land, provides technical assistance and writes conservation plans through programs like the Environmental Quality Incentives Program, which can also provide resources to replace faulty pivots, drill livestock wells and install livestock pipelines and watering facilities for cattle, sheep and goats. EQIP is funded through the Farm Bill, which renews in 2023.
