Read moreT erry County voters are very familiar with the two men who are seeking to be the next county judge, as both Tony Serbantez and Scott Jackson are city employees. Serbantez, a Republican, is the chief of police for the Brownfield Police Department. Democrat Jackson is the recreation director for the city’s parks department. Serbantez and Jackson each spoke with the News on Monday about their qualifications and priorities if elected to be the next county judge. Early voting began for all six voting precincts on Monday ahead of the Nov. 8 General Election.
