It took a 13-0 run at the end of the third and early in the fourth for the Brownfield Cubs basketball team to create enough separation between them and a much improved Kermit, than the one they played back on Dec. 1, with the Cubs winning at home, on Monday, Feb. 22 at Seminole High. The Cubs defeated the Yellow Jackets 86-49 in what was a very close first half game, but one run changed the game.

After the winter storm passed, the water, electrical, and maintenance crews have been dealing with pipes breaking, with the one on the corner of Tate and 1st being the 13th break with many busting within one hour from each other across the city.
