Read moreWhen the residents of Brownfield, Meadow, and Wellman awoke on Sunday morning it was to the sight of snow. According to the National Weather Service Brownfield and surrounding areas had four to eight inches of snowfall. The areas with the most snowfall Sunday morning were Denver City with a total of 11 inches and Post with nine inches. Temperatures reached a high of 31.8 degrees and a low of 15.3 degrees with a .5 inch of total rain accord to West Texas Mesonet.
Read moreThe 2021 Terry County livestock show is set to begin tomorrow (Thursday) where it will kick off with the lamb and goat show at 5 p.m. On Friday the gilt show will begin at 9 a.m. and the barrow show will follow, and Saturday the steer show begins at 9 a.m. The stock show will be held at the Terry County Show Barn, there is no admission price for those who want to attend according to Terry County Livestock Association representative Candy Cudd. This year will be different with COVID-19 guidelines being implemented to ensure the safety of all the participants.
