Head Coach Courtney VanderDussen and The Lady Cubs Volleyball team will play on Friday, August 5 in Andrews. The Lady Cubs will play at 11 am and at 2 pm. The Lady Cubs will also play in Brownfield on Saturday, August 6 at 12 pm and at 2 pm. The games played on both Friday and Saturday will be scrimmages.

The volleyball camp hosted by Wellman Union had a massive turnout with about 23 girls showing up to not only learn the techniques of volleyball but to see how important it is to have fun while in the sport.
Read moreBrownfield football is so close you can almost taste it! Some throwing of the pigskin has already begun for Head Football Coach Aarrhon Flores. Flores and company hosted the Brownfield football camp on Monday, July 25 and Tuesday, July 26. Age groups ranged from 1st-5th grade to 6th- 8th grade. The 1st-5th grade group went at 9 a.m. through 10 a.m. and the 6th and 8th grade group went from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Coach Flores and the rest of the coaching staff were all present during the camp to teach the younger generation not only football but what it means to be a Cub. At the end of the camp session each coach took a turn explaining to the kids what it meant to be a Cub in their eyes. Words like coachable, hardworking, family, and perseverance were the topics for all coaches involved. Coaches weren’t the only ones there to teach the youth, varsity players came out as well to help.
