Lord, time has a past, a present and a future. Life is being formed at conception nd a mother’s unconditional love is instantly in thier soul’s heart. There is hope to come with a newborn and wisdom with the life God has given to us. Enjoy the life God has to give so we may learn the love a mother has for us for she will teach us God’s love. A woman looks for a man with God’s love in him to form a loving farmily. A family to grow in harmony to serve our Lord, God. The opportunity to show our children that God is first in all things. A mother teaches and shows how to love unconditionally just like her mother learned from her mother and so on. Lord, all mothers make mistakes in life but with prayer thier mistakes but with our mother’s love we look towards the future with hope. Lord, send the Holy Spirit upon us especially to the mothers in our lives to strive in the love God has for us. This unconditional love is there from the beginning of time because God is that love in our hearts. We know this because He chose the Virgin Mary, as the mother of Jesus Christ, is a symbol of God’s love.

Read moreShawn Cox was called home by our Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 23, 2024. A memorial service for Shawn will be held at 10:00 AM, on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Brownfield Church of Christ with Chris Seaton officiating. Shawn was born on June 20, 1969, in Brownfield to Sammy and Dean Cox. Shawn attended Brownfield High School and graduated in 1987. He assisted in the family business of the City Fruit Stand until its closing in 1995. For many years, he helped manage Sammy Cox Trucking Company, working on numerous highway construction projects and hauling cotton bales and seed across the state of Texas, all the while operating Triple C Cattle Company with his Dad and brother. Shawn also served in law enforcement for the Terry County Sheriff’s Office as a Sheriff’s Deputy and later as the Constable. Following his law enforcement career, Shawn started his personal business, Cox Diesel Repair, which he successfully ran for many years. Shawn had three children, Blake, Ty, and Faith, who he was immensely proud of and dearly loved. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing... especially fishing, where he caught numerous bucket-list fish. You could always find him experimenting and cooking up a new recipe as well as competing (and winning) cook-offs with his closest friends. Shawn will always be remembered as a selfless, caring, and hard-working man. He was always first to lend a hand and last to leave, ending every phone call with “Holler if you need anything.” He had more lifelong friends than most, and will be greatly missed by all. Shawn was a true pillar of strength for his family and an exceptional father, son, brother, and friend. Shawn is preceded in death by his Dad, Sammy Cox. Shawn is survived by his mother Dean Cox; two sons, Blake, Ty & fiancé Arissa Klumker, and daughter, Faith & fiancé Michael Madrigal; grandson, Tell Cox; brother, David Cox and wife Debbie; sister, Amanda Ryan and husband John; nieces and nephews, Aaron Cox, Darbie Beaver and husband Zack, Ashton Ryan, and Braylee Ryan.
