Students who placed 1st-3rd or were on a 1st place team have qualified for the regional UIL academic meet that will be on Friday, April 21. It will be hosted by SPC. Wellman-Union had 13 individuals qualify (and several of those qualified in multiple events.)

Starting next school year, the secondary campus at Wellman-Union Consolidated Independent School District will have a new face in the principal’s office and on the football field. “Coach John York is no stranger to hard work and is an excellent addition to our team,” said Superintendent Nate Wheeler, on Monday. “Working alongside Coach Josh Bailey, our athletic director, I believe the Wildcats are destined for success in all our athletics.
