Joy May Stucker (Richardson), of Brownfield, Texas, was born in Seagraves, Texas on March 13, 1933. She was the second birth of identical twin sisters to A.G. and Odie Verna Richardson who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Martin L. Stucker, who she married on May 2, 1951; two sons, Kirby Don Stucker and Freddy Sims; and her four sisters and four brothers.

Kriesel is a combat veteran who served in Iraq and is a former State House Representative in Minnesota.
