Funeral service for Scarlett Raeyn Villarreal will be held at 2 pm on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Abundant Harvest Community Church. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 8 pm on Saturday and Sunday, March 9 & 10, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home. Scarlett passed away on March 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 22, 2016, Scarlett brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Scarlett’s bright spirit and love for life were evident in everything she did. She enjoyed playing with dice and spinners, going on walks, and eating her favorite foods. Scarlett loved attending school and interacting with her cousins, forming cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Scarlett is preceded in death by grandparent, Joe Villarreal; great-grandparents, Joe and Rebecca Villareal; great-great grandparent, Lucia Martinez, Manuel Perez, Jr., Rachel Perez; uncle, Edward Perez and cousin, Jonah Lucio. Scarlett is survived by her parents, JoSeth Villarreal and Dariann Martinez; sister, Brianna Villarreal; brother, Joe Villarreal, grandparents, Johnny and Helen Martinez, Monica Warren, Becky Garza and Tony Medina; great-great grandparents, Lazaro and Janie Alvarado aunts and uncles, Heather Martinez, Johnny Gomez, Monica and Kevin Gamez, Tessa and Johnny Lucio, Jo’Ana and Jose Jaimes, Johnny Martinez, and Christina and Carlos Rodriguez; great aunt and uncle, Sandra Villarreal and Rick Rodriguez and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

City Water Supply to be Reduced Week of 4th

The Canadian River Municipal Water Authority (CRMWA), our primary water supplier, has notified us that due to certain circumstances, they are compelled to reduce the water supply to our city for the week of March 4 th . The CRMWA will be repairing the main trunk line that serves Levelland and Brownfield. They estimate that the line will be out of service for 4 – 7 days. The City of Brownfield has the ability to store approximately 2.7 million gallons of water and will utilize our wells as needed.
