The Brownfield city council met Thursday morning for their regularly scheduled meeting to discuss an array of agenda items. Council members Kelli Mendez, JC Tijerna, Leon Pope, Marshall Martell, Mark Williams and Jimmy Garza were all present on the quorum along with City Manager Jeff Davis, Secretary Kelly Burris, Attorney Matt Wade and Mayor Tom Hesse. Not in attendance was councilman Celso Duran.

USDA is sharing early information to allow producers time to gather documents in advance of program delivery. Through distribution of remaining funds, USDA is also concluding the 2021 ELRP program by sending payments in the amount of 20% of the initial ELRP payment to all existing recipients.
