Diane G. Mitchell, 87, passed away peacefully with family by her side on March 10, 2025 at the Kearny County Hospital in Lakin, Kansas. She was born June 1, 1937 in Vernon; the daughter of Howard Cermit and Ola Kate (Rains) Green. Diane graduated from Levelland High School, class of 1955 and began her career in the banking industry with the First National Bank of Levelland. She married James Edwin Mitchell on April 18, 1957. The family relocated to _______________________________________________ ure with the First National Bank retiring in 1998 after 31 years in the industry. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, National Association of Banking Women, and The Red Skirts.
