Read moreThe Texas Department of Transportation recently sent out a news release on their $1.92 million project to restripe roads in the Lubbock district. Work began on Friday, May 14 along Farm to Market Road 145 and 1731 in Parmer County. There are 16 counties where work will be done on various roads, which the department stated will cause delays and ask motorists to slow down and drive with caution for the safety of the workers.

Dr. Acosta is no stranger to West Texas, she was born and raised in Lamesa where she graduated from Lamesa High School in 2003. After high school, she attended the University of Texas and graduated in 2008. She then did her residency at Johns Peter Smith at Forth Worth. She completed her fellowship in North Carolina where she delivered more than 500 babies and performed 150 C-Sections.
