PECOS – The Brownfield softball team made a long trip on Friday, April 30 to face the Tornillo Lady Coyotes in the Bi-District round of the Class 3A playoffs. The game was supposed to be a battle between district runner-up and district third place teams, but the Lady Cubs needed only five innings to advance to the Area round. Brownfield defeated Tornillo 10-0 in five innings.
