Cristina Macias

The family of Cristina Macias will celebrate her life at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2020, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Her family will host a praise and worship celebration from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, November 22, 2020, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. In support of the health of her family, face coverings are mandatory while attending the services. The service will be live-streamed at www.memorialdesigners.net, where you are encouraged to sign the virtual guestbook and share memories and expressions of sympathy. Cristina Macias passed away at the age of 84 in Lubbock, TX. She took her last breath on November 18, 2020; she met her creator peacefully and surrounded by her children on that Wednesday afternoon. Cristina is the eldest sibling of 5 children and was born July 24, 1936 in the town of Julimes, Mexico. Cristina grew up most of her childhood in the rural town of La Boquilla, Mexico, with her sisters, Paula, Guadalupe, Dionicia and her brother Alfonso. At a very young age, she learned the importance of family and the unbreakable bond they would share for years to come. In this same rural town, she married the love of her life, Amando Macias. Together they raised nine exceptional children unique in their own way. She was the loving mother of 3 courageous women and 6 fine men. Decades later, they moved to the town of Brownfield, TX to retire and enjoy the rest of their lives. Cristina, along with her husband, shared a passion for the word of God as they spent many nights and mornings reading their Bible and praying to declare blessings over their children and generations to come. Cristina had a heart of servitude in which she praised, gave thanks while actively congregating in her church Ministerio Tierra de Promesas. She loved caring for her pets whether it was her dog or her birds. She liked to maintain her home decorated with an array of colorful flowers. Along with her parents, she is preceded by her son Alfonso, her husband Amando, and her grandson Armando Jr. In addition to her siblings, her survivors include her children Olaya Ruiz and husband Cesar of Brownfield, Manuel Macias and wife Ema of Brownfield, Ramona Llamas and husband Francisco of Brownfield, Sabas Macias and wife Erendira of Meadow, Armando Macias and wife Maria Patricia of Brownfield, Daniel Macias and wife Asita of Brownfield, Gloria Steiger and husband Robert of Brownfield and Everet Macias and wife Perla Angelica of Wolfforth. She enjoyed until her last days the love of 22 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She was the pride of all her grandchildren, who will forever cherish her unfiltered wittiness. She holds a special place in the tiniest of hearts to the eldest. With gratitude, her children will continue her legacy until they meet again. Her family hopes that if anyone should remember her, they remember her as a woman of faith, love and family.
