Again we find ourselves watching what I call a cultural cleansing. As Americans we have watched several statues be destroyed by mobs and violent people. I would ask where is the law enforcement while people destroy private, federal public and state public property, but then I realize…. that’s right, most law enforcement right now are under the microscope to a point they are afraid to act because they won’t get the backing they need from municipal or state governments. That’s why they won’t show up to thwart such a disgusting display of hate.

However, during his weekly conference call with superintendents and administrators, he failed to disclose any information on how public schools are to go forward. That prompted Texas Governor Greg Abbott to get involved the next day and tell state lawmakers that students will return to the classrooms this fall and guidelines will be laid out Tuesday June 23 for school districts.

The current rule will remain in place, pending guidance from state authorities. UIL will not release official information regarding the implementation of live streaming high school football games until that guidance is set forth.
