Jerry and Debby Metcalf celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 1, 2020. The couple married May 1, 1970 in Brownfield, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Metcalf have two children: Toby and Dawn Metcalf of Sandia Park, New Mexico and Cody Metcalf of Austin, Texas. They have one grandchild, Colby Metcalf of San Marcus, Texas. The couple continues to reside in Brownfield.
Read moreOn Thursday April 30 at 12:27 p.m. Brownfield Fire and Rescue was called out to Sixth St and Bridges St. for a vehicle that rolled over into a bar-ditch. According to Brownfield Police Dept. Lt. Rene Siller, the driver of the gray Toyota Corolla, was traveling south on Railroad Ave. which has a caliche surface. When approaching the curve at the end of Railroad Ave, which turns into Bridges St, the Corolla began to slide and entered into the ditch where the Corolla then flipped over once. The two occupants denied medical treatment from BRMC paramedics. The Brownfield PD, Fire & Rescue, and the BRMC Paramedics responded to the scene.
