All About Alice guitarist finds inspiration in Brownfield, Meadow

Jack McClanahan is the youngest in his family. He was close with his grandparents, Gilbert and Jackie Mc-Clanahan and Jim and Teresa Back. He shared a love a country music with them and with his parents, Jim and Terri McClanahan. They were fans of the television show “Hee Haw” that was popular in the 1970s and 80s and musicians like Charley Pride and Johnny Cash. He’s been to the Meadow Musical for many years.

No injuries in Friday morning wreck

First responders were called to the scene of a two vehicle wreck Friday morning around 8 a.m., when the driver of a Chrysler PT Cruiser struck the back of a semi truck heading southbound on Hwy 62/82. The Terry County Sheriff’s deputies, along with DPS and the Meadow Fire Department were on scene. According to officers, the driver of the PT Cruiser fell asleep at the wheel. The driver and both passengers, out of Lovington, NM were uninjured. The driver of the semi truck also reported no injuries. Citations were given to the driver of the PT Cruiser.
