Brownfield is 3-0 for the first time since the 2015-16 season! The Cubs fought and fought and fought some more throughout the entire football game. Brownfield went into Roosevelt and took over the Eagle’s homecoming. The Cubs won by a score of 49-34.

Read moreDefensive Coordinator for The Brownfield Cubs, Jacob Perez, has won Assistant Coach of the week. The Cubs have won two games so far this season and stand 2-0 for the first time since the 2015-16 season. The Cubs D is a big reason for that. In the Cubs previous game against Tulia the Brownfield Cubs won 35-7, only allowing one touchdown. In the past two games the Cubs D has only allowed 123 rushing yards on 64 attempts, and as few as 183 passing yards on 48 passes. The Cubs D has caused 14 three and outs and the biggest number of all the statistics, 7 turnovers in 2 games. Averaging 3.5 turnovers per game and statistically giving the offense 3 and a half more chances to score.

Read moreBrownfield Tennis got some practice in to prepare for a district match up on Tuesday, September 6. The boys team played Reagan County in a scrimmage and the girls team played Monohans in a scrimmage as well. No score was kept in either scrimmage.
