Read moreThe Meadow Broncos, after struggling early in the season, were able to come away with a huge Homecoming win Friday night against the Grady Wildcats. The Broncos topped the Wildcats 52-46. After a slow moving first quarter, the two teams began an offensive battle in the second quarter that would last until the final seconds of the game. The Broncos were down early in the fourth and final quarter but were able to hold the Wildcats on a few possessions to tie the game up late in the quarter. With a little over 20 seconds remaining, the Broncos attemped an onside kick, which was recovered by the Broncos. The onside kick return put the Broncos in perfect field position, allowing for a touchdown pass to be completed with only 17 seconds left on the clock. Once the Broncos had the lead it was up to the defense to shut down the Wildcats. The Broncos defense held the Wildcats on their final possession, sealing the victory at 52-46.
