Police and Code give quarterly reports to City Council

At Thursday’s City Council meeting the Brownfield Police Department gave its quarterly review to the council. The quarterly review is based on just the months of January, February, and March. The police quarterly report was based on calls for services and incidents according to Police Chief Tony Serbantez.

CUBS runner takes seventh

Brownfield track runner Nathaniel Luna ran the 200 meter at the Class 3A State Meet on Thursday, May 6 at Austin. Luna finished with a time of 22.83 for seventh place. Following his performance at state, Luna spoke on the experience.

Cubs fall in extra innings to Coyotes

TORNILLO – The Cubs baseball team made the six hour drive to Tornillo on Saturday, down 1-0 in a three-game series to the Tornillo Coyotes. The Cubs had the best game of the series against the District 4-3A champions and pushed them to eight innings before losing on a walk-off single, 8-7.
