Experiencing my first UIL state title

With the Brownfield Lady Cubs playing in the Class 3A state championship, this became my first experience seeing how the University Interscholastic League does its championship game. Of course, this could be different from previous championship games, which were played on a Saturday and in a filled stadium, due to COVID and the winter storms. But it still is a championship game and it was different from my experience of working the state championship games for the New Mexico Activities Association.

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is stepping up enforcement efforts as traffic picks up for spring break.
