The Cubs, win or lose, knew what their future held with a playoff home and home series against Tornillo this week. For the Cubs’ Saturday, May 1 district home finale it was a chance for them to gain some momentum and confidence before they faced the District 4-3A champions.
Read morePECOS – The Brownfield softball team made a long trip on Friday, April 30 to face the Tornillo Lady Coyotes in the Bi-District round of the Class 3A playoffs. The game was supposed to be a battle between district runner-up and district third place teams, but the Lady Cubs needed only five innings to advance to the Area round. Brownfield defeated Tornillo 10-0 in five innings.
