The burglaries occurred Tuesday morning, June 15 when residents reported stolen personal information, money, and a handgun from their vehicles. Officers and detectives used information from the victims that led to Reed’s arrest.

There was a family visitation at Brownfield Funeral Home from 6pm to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021. Etta Robbins, 88, beloved Mother and Wife, was called to her eternal resting place on June 25, 2021. She entered this world on November 16, 1932 in Brownfield, TX, born to Leon Naron May and Mildred Ollie May. Etta married Bruce Smith on July 4, 1946. Bruce preceded her in death on September 6, 1960. She then married Lester Robbins on December 21, 1980. She is preceded in death by husbands, Bruce Smith and Lester Robbins, 2 great grandsons Gideon Smith and Joshua Gilbert, four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by nine children and their spouses, Bruce and Adelya Smith, Hershel Smith, Mary Etta Naron, Becci and David Gooch, Karen And Allen Thrasher, Rita and Ray Austin, Sheila and Steve Fleetwood, Tim and Eric Baron and Jayne and Bo Neill; 33 grandchildren; 94 great grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Rosie Dill and numerous nieces and nephews.

Paul was always trying to make everyone smile and laugh. He was a loving father, son, and brother. Paul is survived by his daughter, Brooklyn Miranda; his parents, Simon Miranda and Betty Contreras; brothers, Victor Miranda, Ricky Martinez; sisters, Ysenia Miranda, Melva Miranda, Melinda Modin; numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
