DENVER CITY – The Brownfield softball team traveled to Yoakum County Park to open Region 1, District 3-3A play against Denver City. The Lady Cubs went into the district having won their home opener against Plainview. Brownfield needed only five innings to start off district play with a win following a 14-0 win that invoked the University Interscholastic League ten run rule.

From there the team recovered and was able to play their tennis and secure a win in the 13th and 14th place matchup.
