Read moreThe Brownfield golf team competed today at the Reese Golf Center tournament along with several other teams from the district. The Cubs placed 6th overall in tournament play. Individually KJ Carroll led the team with a final score of 203. Carroll shot a 111 in the first round and A 92 in the second round to lead the Cubs.
Read moreThe Lady Cubs get off to a blazing start to give an impressive showing of offensive power in the bottom of the 1st to dominate the Dimmitt Bobbies. The Lady Cubs started out red hot scoring 9 runs in the bottom of the first inning to lead them to a 23-2 victory over the Dimmitt Bobbies. The Lady Cubs took every opportunity they could to steal a base, as soon as the first batter got on base they waisted zero time to move into scoring position. Ashley Ramirez stole 2nd and 3rd to move into scoring position and was brought home by Millie Castillo for the first of many RBI’s in the game. RBI’s came easy to the Lady Cubs, the team had 9 RBI’s in the bottom of the first and 4 more to follow in the bottom of the second. The team ended the bottom of the 4th inning bringing in 8 more RBI’s to close out the game.
