Thanksgiving morning fun in Coleman Park. Madyson Horton of Brownfield and Frank and Ida Sumpter of Lamesa took part in the 28th Annual Turkey Trot at Coleman Park. The Turkey Trot is put on by the West Texas Runners Clubs and usually takes place in Lubbock on Thanksgiving Day. Due to COVID-19, this year's trot took place all over the South Plains and Eastern NM. Read more(AUSTIN) — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced today he recently completed the transfer of $2.27 billion into the State Highway Fund (SHF) and the Economic Stabilization Fund (ESF; commonly known as the “Rainy Day Fund”). He also leaves to cherish his memory, 9 grandchildren, 6 greatgrandchildren, and 1 sister. He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 3 sisters and 1 great-grandchild. Jessie’s memory will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with. He was a kind man with a big heart.
